Hyderabad Adda is a hyperlocal portal — a place for the people who live in Hyderabad to share what's happening, ask questions, post a flat for rent or a job opening, recommend a restaurant, or argue about cricket. These guidelines describe what makes that space work, and what gets posts removed.
Marketplace + Real estate: Real prices, real photos. No misleading specifications. Once your item is sold, mark it sold or remove it.
Eats + Events + Tourism: Recommendations should reflect actual experience. If you have a financial interest in a venue you're recommending, disclose it.
Discuss: Healthy political debate is welcome. Slurs, calls for violence, and harassment aren't.
Posts that violate these guidelines get hidden. The first violation is usually a hide + a heads-up email. Repeated or severe violations result in posting suspension (24 hours, then 7 days, then permanent). Coordinated abuse, doxxing, and illegal content get an immediate permanent ban.
We don't pre-moderate posts — they go live immediately. Moderation is reactive: triggered by reader reports or by spam-detection flags. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours on weekdays.
The fastest way: email moderation@hydadda.com with the URL of the post or comment and a brief note on why it violates the guidelines. Reports stay confidential — the person you reported isn't told who flagged them.
If your post was hidden or your account suspended and you believe the decision was wrong, write to moderation@hydadda.com with the URL and your case. We re-review within 7 business days. If we agree the original decision was wrong, the post is restored and any related suspension is lifted.
Hyderabad Adda works because most contributors post in good faith. The minority who don't can ruin a neighborhood-scale community fast — through spam, harassment, or by turning every thread into a flame war. These guidelines are the minimum we enforce to keep the space useful for the majority who want it to work.
