About Hyderabad Adda
Hyderabad Adda is Hyderabad's hyperlocal portal — news, eats, events, classifieds, real-estate listings, deals, weather, and a discussion board, all in one place. Everything that matters to people who live here, surfaced fast and free.
What you'll find
- Today's feed — a mix of Hyderabad news headlines, community posts, and the day's most-read content.
- Discuss — a community-driven board for questions, recommendations, opinions, and city talk. Sign in with Google or Facebook to post; reading is free.
- Marketplace — local classifieds: jobs, electronics, vehicles, services, and the kind of thing that used to live on physical bulletin boards.
- Real estate — rent + sale listings posted by community members. PG, BHK, commercial — filtered by locality and price.
- Eats — restaurants, food vlogs, biryani guides, and where to actually go for a meal in this city.
- Events — what's on this week. Curated venue links plus community-submitted events. We don't auto-import every event in the city — we curate.
- Tourism — places to visit, day trips, weekend getaways. Heritage walks, hill stations, the city's less-photographed corners.
- Deals — curated local discounts. Some are affiliate-tracked (clearly labeled); those help keep the site free.
- Investments — Indian indices (Sensex, Nifty), gold + silver in INR, and top mutual funds (NAVs from AMFI). Reference data, not advice.
- Weather — current conditions and 5-day forecast for Hyderabad.
- History — long-form reads on the city: how neighborhoods got their names, the founding stories, the people who shaped the place.
Who runs this
Hyderabad Adda is a small, independent operation. We are not part of any media conglomerate. We are not funded by political organizations. The site is supported by Google AdSense (clearly-labeled ad slots) and affiliate links on the deals page (also clearly labeled).
The technical operation is straightforward: a Cloudflare Worker pulls news headlines from regional sources every 15 minutes, a Next.js application renders the feed and section pages, and per-tenant Turso databases store posts, comments, votes, and bookmarks.
How posting works
Reading is always free and never requires sign-in. To post a discussion thread, classified ad, real-estate listing, or event, you sign in with Google or Facebook (one click). We ask for an email so we can contact you about your post if needed; we never share it. Account-level details, what we collect, and how we handle it are documented in privacy.
Posts are subject to the community guidelines — a short list of what we don't allow (spam, harassment, misinformation, illegal content). The guidelines are enforced by light moderation: posts that violate them are hidden, with appeal rights to the email below.
Our commitments
- Free to read, no paywall. Every page on Hyderabad Adda is free.
- Ads are labeled, never disguised as content. Sponsored content (if and when it appears) carries a clear label and is editorially independent of community posts.
- Affiliate links disclosed. Deals that earn us a referral fee are tagged with
rel="sponsored" and labeled visibly. - No political endorsements. We don't endorse candidates, parties, or causes — the discussion board allows community political talk under the same guidelines as any other topic, but the editorial voice is neutral.
- Reader privacy. We don't sell user data. Sign-in is via Google/Facebook OAuth — we get name + email + avatar, nothing more. Full disclosure in privacy.
